Every year or so, I sit down and seriously consider starting a blog. Then the doubt and self-consciousness creeps in. What do I have to say that hasn’t already been said? What do I have to contribute that someone else would actually want to read? But you know what I realized? I don’t have to reinvent the wheel… I just have to be me. I’m no fashionista. I’m no Betty Crocker (although my mother was voted Ms. Betty Crocker her senior year of high school, somehow I didn’t inherit those genes). I’m no Martha Stewart. I just wanted to start a blog to share ideas about my passions including family, entertaining, travel, cooking and easy DIY projects. My philosophy is simple — if I can do it, you can too. Trust me.

My hope is that this can be a source of inspiration the way my favorite blogs inspire me.  I certainly won’t pretend to have all the answers, so if you can bear with me, we’ll just figure it out together, deal?
