When I pregnant with Everett in 2014, I went on a hunt for the perfect diaper bag. That journey ended up longer + harder than I originally anticipated. All the diaper bags I was finding in stores were too small, way too cheap looking, too baby-ish, etc. Then I found my unicorn bag…
I quickly became obsessed and ordered myself an Elizabeth in Camel. It was everything I had been searching for. It was big enough to hold everything I needed for myself and a baby. It was beautiful leather that didn’t LOOK like a diaper bag. It had a ton of pockets AND the handiest removable organizer so that I could keep myself somewhat organized.
I still have that bag and use it to this day.
My very first LJ has been with me through all phases of motherhood so far. I used it all through Everett’s first two years as a diaper bag. I traveled with it as my personal carry on. I used it as a laptop/work bag. I used it as a pump bag when I went back to work. I now use it as a camera bag.
Since 2014, many new styles have been added to the Lily Jade lineup and my current favorite is the Shaylee. She’s the perfect blend of form + function for me. The Brandy color is my year-round favorite because it goes with EVERYTHING. I get compliments on my bag everywhere I go.

And the best part of the Shaylee? This bag converts from a traditional over the shoulder bag with two long handles, to a crossbody messenger style, to a backpack! When I’m by myself, I just throw it over my shoulder, however, I find myself using the bag as a backpack A LOT these days with two active little ones. I love that I don’t have to completely change bags to change the functionality.

Over the years, I have found that I am much more of a pouch packer, so these Lily Jade Packing Cases have been amazing. It’s easier to direct my husband or kiddo to grab a specific pouch instead of trying to figure out which pocket I stashed something away in. I use one as a diaper pouch with diapers, wipes and diaper cream), I use one to keep a set of extra clothes + snacks, and then the smallest one is for all of my odds + ends that tend to get lost at the bottom of my bag otherwise (tissues, gum, chapstick, etc.). I would be lost without these pouches!

I’m so obsessed with Lily Jade {and I know you’ll love them as much as I do} that I’m GIVING AWAY a $375 Lily Jade credit to one lucky winner!!! These kind of giveaways don’t happen often, so make sure you sign up below! And if you have any questions about a particular bag or LJ in general, I’m happy to help however I can. Good luck, friends!!
